Share the Vision
17 "Watch me," he told them. "Follow my lead. When I get to the edge of the camp, do exactly as I do. 18

When I and all who are with me blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout, 'For the LORD and for Gideon.' "

19 Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands. 20 The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the jars. Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, "A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!" 21 While each man held his position around the camp, all the Midianites ran, crying out as they fled.

22 When the three hundred trumpets sounded, the LORD caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords.
Judges 7:17-22a

God had trimmed down Gideon's army to fighting size. Sometimes the vision can only be reached with the right people!

If you are a leader, those you lead should:

1) agree with your goals and objectives - be prayerful about those who buck against the vision that God has given you - remember we don't fight against flesh and blood but principalities and powers! It's not about you and its not about them - its about the kingdom building so don't get into useless arguments about what you're trying to accomplish. BE PRAYERFUL!

2) be able to handle the responsibilities assigned - don't give assignments to people just because you have a relationship with them or because you like them - make sure that God is leading you to rely on that person and that they can accomplish the task - if they cannot handle it maybe they shouldn't be in charge of completing the assignment.

3) help those who follow you develop a spirit of faithfulness, to be individuals you can count on to complete their work on time and satisfactorily - make sure that you can count on those on your team to be faithful in completing and following through on tasks - teams work well when everyone is pulling their weight toward one goal.

Whether you are a leader or a follower remember that everything you do should be done to the glory of God. When every one stays within his/her lane and completes each task with this in mind, God will bless what your hands have found to do.

He is watching

12 Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.

13 Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, "He won't call me to account"?

 14 But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you;
you are the helper of the fatherless.

15 Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out.

16 The LORD is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land.

17 You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,

18 defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.

Psalm 10:12-18

It seems that everywhere you go there is suffering, pain and anguish.  The recent events in Haiti have reminded us of the frailty of life and of the turmoil that can quickly behold any of us.  Most of us are very blessed and fortunate to have the lives we have, yet we must admit that we are not always so grateful for them.  The Psalmist saw the wickedness and the destruction of those who were evil and understood that there would be a time when

17The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God.
18For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.
19Arise, O LORD! Let not man prevail; let the nations be judged before you!
20Put them in fear, O LORD! Let the nations know that they are but men! Selah
Psalm 9:17-20

There are so many things that we do on our own everyday that perhaps make us believe we are in control. Most of us have the ability to bathe ourselves, to dress and feed ourselves and perform other tasks without any assistance from anyone. Our daily tasks and decision-making are results of what we choose to do or accomplish – so we think. It is no wonder, then, that when it comes to our spiritual walk we still behave in control mode. We choose whether or not to go to church, Bible Study or Sunday School, we choose whether or not we will participate in ministry, we make a decision to study the Word or pray. Often times when we come to these decisions they are weighed in our minds based on the time we have left in our day after we have worked, after we have done other things – whether or not we are tired, etc.
